Open discussion will take place throughout a series of classes, which will take place once a month. Advice and guidance will be given at all stages of the carving process.

There will also be an opportunity to explore letter carving, as the course progresses.

Your tutor, Simon Keeley, who presently has 15 years experience and has won various prestigious commissions for the Worshipful Company of Skinners, Westminster Abbey and School. He has also been involved in public artworks, which have been brick carving in Knightsbridge in London and East Oxford. He teaches stone carving at ‘The Art Academy’ on Monday evenings and just appointed to teach at West Dean College.

Introduction to Stone carving class fees are £75 (+ £10 for stone in the first class), please book and pay at least a month in advance to the required date. Please call 07939 337441 when booking a place for details of where to send your payment.

Weekend courses are £150 plus cost of stone used.

'Introduction to Letter Carving' is a three day block course. Fees include a piece of slate. Cost £285 - Portland Stone £10, Italian Slate £35, total = £320.

Classes are from 10am - 5pm, please bring a packed lunch, drinks will be provided.
